Four-star wide receiver prospect Jamil Kamara made a trip down south from his Virginia Beach home to visit the North Carolina State Wolfpack. Kamara is one of several wide receiver prospects being recruited by Larry Fedora and his coaching staff for the 2014 recruiting class.
Kamara is rated with four-stars and stands at six feet, two inches tall and weighs 195 pounds. The Tar Heels and Virginia Cavaliers are currently his top two choices at this point in his recruitment.
He has outstanding scholarship from Boston College, Clemson, Connecticut, Hampton, Illinois, James Madison, Marshall, Miami, NC State, Old Dominion, Richmond, Tennessee, Toledo, Vanderbilt, Virginia Tech, Western Kentucky, and Wisconsin in addition to North Carolina and Virginia.
Kamara has nothing but kind words about his visit at NC State with their new head football coach Dave Doeren.
Next on his agenda are two visits. One at Virginia and one to Chapel Hill. He cites that he loves the North Carolina offense (Fedora’s unique spread offensive) and even called it “explosive.” He also notes that he likes the coaching staff in Chapel Hill and finds it a nice campus. Though it’s not home, he loves that it isn’t far from his home either.
There has been no word or confirmation when Kamara will narrow his list down or begin to make his decisions yet. It’s still considered early in the 2014 recruiting process and he has plenty of time to let other offers come in the mail!
