NBC Sports is reporting that Tar Heel rivals North Carolina State will lose not one, but two key figures of their team. Both CJ Leslie and Lorenzo Brown are expected to announce their decision to leave after their junior season.
Brown and Leslie account for thirty-five percent of the Wolfpack’s offense and will leave the team hurting to replace them, especially without a studded recruiting class.
Leslie has avergaed 15.4 points per game and Brown 12.4 points per game. Naturally based on their positions Leslie led the team in rebounds while Brown led in assists.
The Wolfpack will also lose Richard Howell and Scott Wood. Both Howell and Wood are seniors and will graduate in just a couple of months.
The Wolfpack were predicted as the favorites in the ACC, but we all know that was never the case. The Wolfpack choked and struggled for the remainder of the season once they began ACC conference play.
For our Rivals in Raleigh, they now will know what it is like to lose four of their five starters. Don’t expected a spectacular season from NC State either next season. At best, it will resemble our 25-11 record. Mark Gottfried does have Anthony Barber coming in, the No. 6 points guard, but his recruiting class isn’t start studded like his team was this year.
