Rapid Reaction: Kansas 70, N. Carolina 58
Standout Kansas freshman and future NBA lottery pick Ben McLemore was so mediocre against North Carolina Sunday that he could hardly get off the Kansas Jayhawks’ bench in the second half. It didn’t matter. With McLemore struggling, Kansas used its other main weapon — experience — to advance to the Sweet 16 with a 70-58 victory over the North Carolina Tar Heels. (ESPN.com)

Kansas roars past UNC, advances to Sweet 16
Trailing by nine points at halftime, Kansas was in trouble. The Jayhawks in some ways were fortunate to be down single digits to No. 8 seed North Carolina. But just when it looked like KU might be headed for an early NCAA Tournament exit, the Jayhawks reminded everyone why they earned a No. 1 seed and roared past the Tar Heels 70-58 Sunday (Topeka Capital-Journal)

UNC’s road ends against Jayhawks
North Carolina looked for a half like it had what it took to knock off a No. 1 seed Sunday afternoon, breaking out to an early 12-2 lead and taking a 30-21 lead into halftime against Kansas. But then the Jayhawks went on a 33-10 run over the first 12 and and half minutes of the second half that rapidly erased Carolina’s lead and propelled top-seeded KU to a 70-58 victory that ends UNC’s year at 25-11.
