UNC Baseball: Tar Heels Sweep Boston College in Double Header

Earlier today in the first of two games, the North Carolina Tar Heels defeated the ACC’s worst, Boston College, 11-0. It was another dominant game for Kent Emanuel on the mound, but the Heels weren’t done with Boston College yet.

The Heels had to retake the field an hour later after their 11-0 win to play the same team again.

North Carolina was the first to get on the boards in game two when Chaz Frank was hit by a pitch. Colin Moran walked after him and Skye Bolt knocked in an RBI hit to give North Carolina a 1-0 lead.

Boston College answered in the bottom of the first with some solid hitting. They tired it up 1-1.

In the top of the fourth, Landon Lassiter singled and then Moran would follow through with a double to give North Carolina the 2-1 edge. Bolt would come up next and get another RBI hit to put his team up 3-1.

Boston College would answer again with a sacrifice fly ball that would score them a run and leave the game at 3-2.

Brian Holberton would score off of a balk in the fifth inning giving them a two run lead.

Michael Russell would score the final and fifth run for Carolina off of a bunt. North Carolina won with the final score of 5-2.
