Hood is considered a better offensive prospect but most with the talent to play both sides of the ball at the next level.  His combination of size (6-1, 210 pounds) speed and power make him a very interesting prospect.  The Fighting Irish are the assumed favorite right now but it’s still very early in the process.  Given Larry Fedoras recent successful track record with in state recruits don’t count the Tar Heels out.

Hood’s last three visits have been to Chapel Hill with his most recent visit coming on October 27th.  Hood took in UNCs 43-35 victory over arch rival NC State on that visit and got a glimpse of what it would be like to run the football for Carolina.  Giovani Bernard returned a game-winning 74-yard punt return for TD with 13 seconds remaining.
