UNC Basketball Recruiting: Devin Booker 2014 SG to Visit UNC on February 23rd

2014 five star shooting guard Devin Booker 6-4, 175 pounds out of Moss Point, Mississippi, will visit North Carolina on February 23rd when the Tar Heels face rival NC State in Chapel Hill.  Booker is one of several perimeter prospects the Tar Heels are showing interest in with the 2014 class.

Booker does not yet have an offer from North Carolina he is one of several prospects who could be offered soon considering the need for perimeter talent in the 2014 class. Thus far UNC has offered small forwards Justise Winslow and Justin Jackson as well as shooting guard Theo Pinson. Roy Williams and Hubert Davis will visit with Rashad Vaughn on Friday and many expect that he will receive an offer on that visit.

Jackson will visit Chapel Hill on March 3rd for an official visit and the Tar Heels are considered heavy favorites for his services.  Pinson visited Duke yesterday and Indiana on the second of February.  Winslow is considered a long shot when it comes to the Tar Heels.  UNC could look to bring in as many as three perimeter players considering that they have not signed any in the 2013 class and only J.P. Tokoto and P.J. Hairston could still be around in 2014 from the current roster (which I consider Hairston a long shot to be around for his senior year).
