Dear Duke Fans: You Make Me Sick

At first when I heard about this disgusting story I said to myself, no they don’t deserve anymore attention than they are already getting from the press, don’t go there Matt, ignore them.  Then I went to the fridge and glanced at a picture of my late Grandmother, one who’s birthday just passed.  Her death just a couple years ago still eats at me like it was yesterday, we shared a special bond like most people do with their Grandmother, I called mine Mom Mom.  Screw you Duke fans, you make me sick.

In case you are fortunate enough to have not heard about this yet, my apologies for subjecting you to this. After Duke defeated NC State fans began chanting “How’s your grandma?” to Wolfpack guard Tyler Lewis after the game. Now I will never hide my hate for NC State normally taunting Lewis or any member of State would invoke laughter out of me. But the young man just lost his Grandma for God’s sake. I’ll say it once again, Duke fans, you make me sick. Cameron Crazies should be renamed the Cameron Sole less.

I’m calling on Coach K here, he needs to give a stern speech to the Duke student body about how disgusting this was before the Carolina game. This is a game, a sporting event, not life and death and you don’t go after somebody’s family. Anybody caught doing something like this should be banned from attending Duke sporting events for life. It probably won’t happen, K will probably shrug it off and act like it didn’t happen or join those that say the chant was “Past your bedtime.” I just hope somebody threw their arm around Lewis and consoled him after these events unfolded.
