Dajaun Drennon chose to play for Larry Fedora at UNC over Alabama, Clemson, FSU, Texas, Michigan Tennessee and host of division one schools.
Drennon a four star defensive end from New jersey chose North Carolina over the summer after visiting Texas coached by Mack Brown. After meeting with Larry Fedora, Drennon quickly made his commitment to play in Chapel Hill.
Drennon joins a recruiting class that includes high school teammate Greg Webb who is being recruited to play defensive tackle. Defensive line is a position of need for North Carolina with the loss of Sylvestor Williams to the NFL and as well as having Tim Jackson and Kareem Martin who will be seniors this fall. Drennon will have a chance for immediate playing time with a group of young players in the program.
Drennon is the fifth player to sign his letter of intent already this morning as a flurry of LOI’s have already come through the Carolina fax. Stay tuned at Keeping It Heel and visit our open thread for all the details on the rest of the class.
