Lawson of the 2013 class 6-2 253 pounds ranked as the #2 overall player in the class, Lawson is very physical and quick off the ball. His combination of power and quickness to go along with an array of advanced moves at the line of scrimmage make him nearly unblockable and a good bet to make an immediate impact at the next level.
Lawsons commitment to Auburn began to waiver with the change in the Tigers coaching staff and he noted the Tar Heels great academic program as something he likes about Carolina when discussing his options.
Lawson who has a soft commit to Auburn is looking at Carolina, Ole Miss and Clemson.
Fedora also visited with Larry Fedora visited 2014 recruit Da’Shawn Hand the top defensive lineman in the 2014 class on the 23rd. A combination of Lawson and Hand in 2014 could give the Tar Heels one of the best defensive lines in the country. With four star DE’s Dajuan Drennon and Nazair Jones and defensive tackle Greg Webb the talent on the DL is already promising, adding these two five star studs to the line would be special.
