The Senior Bowl is a very important game for UNC LB Kevin Reddick, Reddick needs a strong performance in order to improve on his current draft stock and show NFL teams that he’s ready to contribute at the next level.
Reddick, is projected to be a mid-round pick, but could go as high as the second round with a good performance at today’s Senior Bowl. The 6’1’’, 246 pound linebacker, Reddick had an impressive 85 tackles with 49 of them being solo alongside 6.5 sacks as one of the most important members of the Tar Heels defense.
Reddick demonstrated an unwavering commitment to the UNC program by deciding to stay in Chapel Hill despite being recruited by the likes of Alabama to transfer where he would have been immediately eligible to play due to the sanctions against the UNC football program.
With the declining stock of Notre Dame’s Manti Te’o who’s surrounded with question around the bizaar situation with his supposed internet girlfriend the potential exists that teams could choose to pass on Te’o and wait until the second round to draft a player like Reddick.
The biggest question surrounding Reddick is his speed and he says that is the biggest thing he is working on as he trains for the Senior Bowl and NFL Draft combine.
“That’s my biggest thing when I’m training now, just working on my speed. All the other stuff – the bag drills – I could do that in my sleep.” Charlotte Observer
