2014 four star quarterback prospect Deshaun Watson is committed to Clemson but has opened up his recruitment and has been offered by the North Carolina Tar Heels.
Watson is a dual threat QB who is the back-to-back winner of The Times Football Player of the Year. Watson has a rocket arm and is a very accurate passer for his age Watson became only the third 4,000-yard passer in state history and second to throw for 50 touchdowns in a single season.
Watsons skills are almost tailored made for UNC head coach Larry Fedoras system. He runs a similar fast paced, no huddle type offense in high school and is very comfortable in the system, his ability to keep plays alive with his feet and hit on the deep pass make him an ideal fit in Chapel Hill. He shows great intelligence for such a young player who has the ability to change the play at the line of scrimmage and rarely makes a mistake.
Deshaun works as a ball boy for the Atlanta Falcons and at a local sports training complex during training camp.
Watson remains verbally committed to Clemson but also has interest in Louisiana State, Ohio State, Auburn, Florida State and Tennessee to go along with the Tar Heels.
North Carolina offered.
