2014 small forward Justin Jackson has a special visitor coming today when North Carolina head coach Roy Williams stops by for an in home visit. With Carolina off this week Roy will take advantage of the time off and take the trip to Texas to try and persuade the consensus five star prospect to play his college basketball in Chapel Hill.
Jackson 6-6, 175 pounds is a big time player and one of three current perimeter players with an offer in the 2014 class that includes fellow five star prospects Theo Pinson and Justise Winslow. UNC is looking to stock up on perimeter position players in the class with all of the current players on the roster at those positions set to graduate by then with the exception of J.P. Tokoto, UNC has not brought in any players in the 2013 class at those positions making it even more urgent that they bring in guys who can play immediately.
Jackson is an athletic wing with a high basketball IQ, Jackson is a very good shooter and can get to the basket. Defensively he’s solid and holds his position well. Jackson is probably the favorite out of all the perimeter players with an offer to commit to Carolina. He has been a fan of the program for quite some time and has been coming to UNC basketball camps each summer since eighth grade. Jackson recently cut his list down to six schools in a tweet Arizona, Ohio State, Texas A&M, UNC, Virginia, and Washington.”
Along with Jackson, Pinson and Winslow the Heels have been closely watching Rashad Vaughn, D’Angelo Russell and Grayson Allen.
