2014 consensus five star shooting guard Theo Pinson of Greensboro, NC was in attendance at the Dean Dome to watch the Tar Heels fall to 0-2 in conference play against the Miami Hurricanes Thursday. Also in attendance was 2013 signee power forward Isiah Hicks.
Pinson posted this pic on his instagram account of his view from inside the Dean Dome. Pinson has been rumored to be favoring Duke and has also flirted with the idea of joining the duo of point guard Tyus Jones and center Jahlil Okafor who have made their plans of playing together in college known.
Pinson was one of the first perimeter players offered in the 2014 class this summer and has been a priority for Carolina in a class that UNC will need to come away with several wing position players. Roy has watched Pinson at least twice since the beginning of January and hosted the trio of Pinson, Jones and Okafor in August.
Pinson is a great talent on the court with a lot of versatility. An excellent mid range shooter with range, Pinson is a consistent scorer and can fill it up in a variety of ways. A very good ball handler who can lead the break and create shots for himself and teammates. Pinson also thrives getting to and attacking the basket.
He needs to bulk up a bit and tighten up his game on the defensive end to thrive at the college level. A consensus five star prospect the local prospect was offered a scholarship in July by Roy Williams.
