UNC Basketball: Reggie Bullock Out With Mild Concussion Against UNLV

The Tar Heels have announced that small forward Reggie Bullock will miss the Tar Heels’ game against No. 20 UNLV with a mild concussion.

Bullock injured himself in practice on Thursday colliding with a teammate during a drill.  This is a huge loss for North Carolina in a big game against the Runnin’ Rebels in their last non-conference game.  Bullock is second on the team in scoring and rebounding and leads the ACC in three point field goal percentage.

The team has not announced who will start in Bullocks place but I expect it to be PJ Hairston with him and Leslie McDonald receiving increased playing time.

UNC was without Hairston against #1 ranked Indiana earlier this season and suffered the most lopsided loss of the Roy Williams era in an embarrassing loss.  Bullock has been challenging his teammates as of late to step up and play less selfish basketball and to show more energy on the floor, his loss as a leader will be tough to get over.
