UNC Basketball: My Tar Heel Christmas Wish List Part II

Christmas Day, remember being a kid and having the butterflies all night on the eve of the big day?  Waiting for Santa to shimmy down the chimney and deliver you the toys of your dreams from his bottomless sack.

Now we’re all grown up and Christmas Day isn’t about toys and Santa Claus but that doesn’t mean we don’t all have a Christmas wish in our hearts, I know I do, in fact, I have several, here’s my Tar Heels Christmas Wish List for the North Carolina Tar Heels.  Only my list for this struggling team is a bit too long for one list this is part II.

Andrew Wiggins

It’s weird being all grown up and wishing for a teenager to make a decision like I’m asking out my prom date all over again but that is the life of a college sports fan.  Wiggins makes Carolina a national title contender if he chooses Carolina over the likes of Kentucky, Florida State and Kansas and wouldn’t that make the best Christmas gift of all?

Brice Johnson to figure out how to play defense

For all his offensive talent, and he has lots of it, the poor kid is lost on the defensive end of the court.  Even in our wildest dreams he’s not going to become John Henson overnight, but if he can just figure out how to put himself in the right position to play decent defense we might see him on the court enough to help Carolina have a formidable post game on a  consistent basis.

Roy Williams to stay healthy

You don’t realize it all the time but as long as you have your health you are okay.  Some of us are fortunate enough to never have to learn this tough lessen ever in our lives but Roy Williams had the scare of his life learning this lessen earlier this year.  I wish for Roy to stay healthy not only so he can coach our Tar Heels for as long as he has the desire to do so but because he’s a good man and we need people like Roy on this Earth.
