UNC Falls to #23 in the Latest Top 25 Poll

Barley escaping the Dean Dome with a victory against East Carolina after taking a 16 point lead into halftime North Carolina came in at #23 down from their #21 ranking last week on the new AP Top 25 poll this week.

The top of the poll was also shaken up with Indiana suffering their first loss of the season making way for Tar Heels arch rival Duke to claim the top spot.  Michigan moves up to #2, Syracuse, Arizona and Louisville round out the top five spots. UNC has been very unimpressive in several of their wins this season and Saturdays game against ECU left many wondering if they would even remain in the Top 25 at all.

With conference play approaching the Heels need to find ways to play consistent inspired basketball if they want to prove they belong as a ranked team.

Here’s a look at the AP poll (USA Today Coaches Poll not available at the time of this publishing).
