Roy Williams has two offers out to point guards in the 2014 class in Tyus Jones and Joel Berry. While Kentucky has been focusing on Jones with two visits in the last week, UNC seems to be honing in on Berry.
Berry tore his left meniscus in early December and is out 4-6 weeks. Despite being injured Roy still took the trip down to Florida to visit with Berry and his family.
2014 PG @joelberryii met with Roy Williams for two hours Monday night and “had a great talk.” Berry will take an official to UNC Jan. 19.

Berry is the second highest rated PG in the 2014 class behind Jones and has gone on record as saying that UNC is his dream school. He was offered by Carolina in June a few days after the program offered Jones.
Berry is the first ever sophomore in the state of Florida to be named Mr. Basketball. Berry is the perfect prototypical UNC PG who can get to the rim, is great in transition and is a terrific floor leader. With Jones’ recruiting process likely to drag out due to his desire to team with fellow top recruit Jahlil Okafor, Berry seems like the better fit overall and more likely to choose Carolina.
Berry will visit Chapel Hill on an official visit on January 19th when Roy will no doubt be looking to
