Argentine court convicts UNC professor on drug smuggling charges
The 68-year-old University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill physics professor arrested in Argentina early this year after being caught with more than 4 pounds of cocaine hidden in a suitcase has been convicted by an Argentine court. (McClatchy)

Tar Heels take out anger to close Maui
There was only one thing left to prove Wednesday at the Lahaina Civic Center. North Carolina’s tournament finale became a test of how the Tar Heels could recoup from their first letdown. Roy Williams made a change to the Tar Heels’ lineup on Wednesday, and inserted freshman forward Brice Johnson in place of Desmond Hubert. Johnson responded with 16 points, four rebounds, two blocks and two steals. The question now is if Johnson will remain the starter. UNC Football: 10 Things We Learned from the Tar Heels’ Win vs. Virginia
After getting scorched for 68 points and taking a tough loss to Georgia Tech last week, UNC recovered nicely with a solid thumping of their old rivals, Virginia. Bryn Renner played a nearly flawless game, and after relinquishing a first quarter TD, the Tar Heels defense dominated the Cavs. Giovanni Bernard had one of his least productive games, but with the passing game clicking on all cylinders, there really was no need for his services. North Carolina Basketball: Report Card Grades for Maui Invitational 2012
It’s a good thing this report card isn’t just on Tuesday night’s performance. The North Carolina Tar Heels looked like the team to beat when they steamrolled Mississippi State in the first round of the Maui Invitational. The game was never even close, and UNC went on to win 95-49. (Bleacher Report)

UNC Basketball: Could the Tar Heels Land Andrew Wiggins?
