One of the premier accomplishments a high school football player in North and South Carolina can earn is a spot on the Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas roster. Of thousands of players, only a select few are chosen. They are the best of the best of the Carolina’s high school football players.
North Carolina Tar Heel Class of 2013 football recruit RJ Prince has been selected to represent North Carolina in this year’s Shrine Bowl.
Prince is an offensive tackle who stands 6’8″ tall and weights 310 pounds. He is a current player and student at Albemarle High School in North Carolina. Albemarle has claimed five state championships and two undefeated season.
RJ an explosive and athletic player who doesn’t take his eyes off the defense and will help defend his offensive! Originally a Clemson Tiger commit, Prince is now a firm and solid Tar Heel commit for Coach Fedora and the North Carolina Dream Team!
Prince is joined by his future Tar Heel teammates: Khris Francis, TJ Logan, Brian Walker, and Korrin Wiggins on the North Carolina squad.
The Shrine Bowl is scheduled to take play on December 15th later this year at 1:00pm. It will be held at Gibbs Stadium at Wofford College in Spartanburg, South Carolina.
The North Carolina team is the defending champions of the Bowl winning last year’s game 26-19 over South Carolina. North Carolina trails South Carolina however in overall wins with only 30 Shrine Bowl victories over South Carolina’s 41.
