UNC Basketball Recruiting: Jabari Parker to Welcome Roy Williams

This week has been an emotional week for Tar Heel fans when it comes to basketball recruiting. After Julius Randle cut UNC and Dook from his interests, it angered many fans. However, his decision opens the door for other opportunities when it comes to basketball recruiting.

One of those options is still the highly ranked forward Jabari Parker. Parker has made it known that he will not be rushing into a decision and that he plans to think long and hard so that he knows he has made the right decision.

Parker is set to be welcoming Duke, Michigan State, and North Carolina for an in-home visit between now and November.

He will also re-add three schools to his top-five before he will make a commitment this november.

Parker’s dad told ESPN that he will be visiting Duke at the end of this month. He was unsure of the date for his Michigan State visit. His Dad did confirm that his visits would conclude with an in home visit with UNC and coach Roy Williams.

Parker has been the #1 player overall for a while, but just recently dropped to #2 behind Julius Randle in many of the rankings.

My gut feeling is that we will see Parker at Michigan State, but don’t count the chickens before they hatch!

Who knows where he will go. Sometimes these kids hear something and it changes their minds. I think Parker will give Carolina a good look and maybe we can reel him in.

I thought he was supposed to be a big UNC fan…him and his coach?

If this is true, then what’s the hold up. Adding Parker would intice others to sign here too.
