UNC Football: First Depth Chart of the Season Released

With the opening game against Elon right around the corner, Larry Fedora has released UNCs first depth chart of the season.

Some key position notes, running back Giovanni Bernard is in fact the punt returner for now and Fedora says Bernard, Romar Morris, AJ Blue will all get time at the tailback spot this season.  The three starting wide receivers will be Erik Highsmith, Sean Tapley and Jheranie Boyd, freshman Quinshad Davis will see significant time as well with TJ Thorpe out of action.

On defense, Dion Guy will be the starting bandit and Gene Robinson will start as the ram, the unique positions employed by UNCs new defensive scheme.  With all the changes in personnel along with some injuries, the roster is pretty shuffled going into the first game of the year Saturday against Elon.
