National Signing Day Open Thread

*UPDATE* Our University of North Carolina Tar Heels have received signed letters of intent from 23 of their commits already today! But we’re still waiting on a few to announce their decisions. It’s been a great National Signing Day so far in Carolina for the Tar Heels. None of Larry Fedora and companies verbal commits flipped to other schools as of yet, all keeping their word to play for the Heels. FINALLY! It’s time for all the speculation to end (well not really until the end of the day). All the rumors, all the whispers, the flip flopping by the recruits. It’s over today Tar Heel Nation (well, mostly, more on that below). Today all our commits put pen to paper and sign their letters of intent. Even more importantly, all the undecided recruits we’re all waiting for, wishing, hoping they will sign with Carolina, make their final decision today. In other words, buckle up, it’s time for some national signing day coverage Keeping It Heel style!
Park it here all day long and we’ll bring you updates after each and every Tar Heel move of the day. When a player signs his letter of intent, you’ll know before the ink’s dry. And when the inevitable occurs and one of the hot recruits wakes up and realizes he must live a Heel lifestyle. I’m dialing it up right here. And just in case you haven’t done your Heelwork up until now, all the commits and known offers are right below. Updates will appear at the top as they break. National Signing Day Updates: And we have our first update of the day. Ohio St has entered the bidding for Davonte Neal. Neal is still considering UNC heavily as they want his playing WR/DB and returning kicks.
"Quote from Bleacher Report: They said they want me at receiver, returning punts, kicks and playing on defense too in the nickel package. They’re the only ones along with Arizona that have talked to me about playing both ways. They said they want the ball in my hands and if I sign there, they said the plan is for me to return the opening kickoff of the season so they got me pretty excited."

Unfortunately I was correct in the assumption I made when Quinshad Davis announced his commitment. Fellow Wide Receivers Brad Culp and Daniel Hurd both three star recruits are out of the picture for Carolina. Come on Davonte’ Davis! I’m really starting to think he ends up going to UNC based on his comments above. Only three receivers and just two corners have committed to Carolina, both positions of need for the team.
Quinshad Davis the four star WR just announced his LOI to play for the TAR HEELS!!!!!!!!!!!! This signals Brad Culp going elsewhere in my Heel opinion.
Andrus Peat signs with Stanford no shock there, he looks a lot like James Michael McAdoo of UNC hoops, anybody else notice that?

Who we’re waiting on
Davonte Neal Ath: 5 star recruit and absolute stud of an athlete. Fits the Larry Fedora spread offense like a glove. The prize recruit that UNC has a real beat on (that we know about at least) is Neal. Many project him as a WR but he is officially listed as an Ath. Landing Neal on signing day won’t happen for the Tar Heels, or for anyone. Neal has an official visit scheduled next week in Arizona but rumors say he may switch that visit to Oklahoma.
