UNC Football Recruiting Desmond Owino Decommits-Joins Wolfpack

Desmond Owino a three star former UNC Tar Heel commit has changed his mind and flipped to NC State.  Of all schools, Owino has flipped over to State?  The 6-5 230 lb defensive lineman said he is cancelling an upcoming planned visit to Chapel Hill and any other schools.  Apparently “locked in” now with the Wolfpack here’s what Owino had to say:

“I committed to N.C. State,” the 6-5, 230-pounder said. “I really just like the coaching staff there and the NCAA stuff with UNC made me change.”

“I’m done visiting other schools. I spoke with [UNC DL] coach (Deke) Adams earlier today and told him that I’m done with looking at other schools.”

More after the break

Another hit on Larry Fedora’s Tar Heel team this recruiting season.  The team is stuck in a recruiting quick sand, waiting around for players to figure out if they are sticking to their commitments with the new coaching staff.  Coach Fedora has stated numerous times that the team will stand by all offers made and will not break any promises the former regime made.

Check back later today as our countdown to signing day continues with a look at Tar Heel recruit who’s down to 2.  Until then…
